Peter Gilliver: Art and Crafts
During cover-19 lock down I finished a number of paintings and started new ones. I started using a wet on wet technique, with my oils and enjoy the speed and flexibility of the technique.
About Peter Gilliver
I have been interested in the outdoors for as long as I can remember. In my teens I started climbing and mountaineering, this lead to me spending a lot of time in Europe and the Alps. These experiences have influenced my art and craft work. When I was in my mid-twenties I went to study a degree in sports science and then out to Canada, Nova Scotia, where I undertook a master’s degree in human movement. After returning from Canada I start taking my painting, drawing and craft work more seriously. I currently work as a lecturer in coaching and outdoor leadership, paint and take pictures, along with climbing, canoeing and sailing with my family and friends.
